Ukrainian Natalia Zharkova — triple world champion in freediving: a historic achievement

Natalia Zharkova won her third gold at the world freediving championship


Ukrainian champion Natalia Zharkova continues to amaze the world with her accomplishments in freediving, having already earned her third gold medal. This time she outpaced everyone in the constant weight with fins discipline, achieving a result of 105 meters alongside Italian Alessia Zecchini.


Thus, Natalia Zharkova became the best in all three types of competition in which she participated.

Another Ukrainian athlete, Kateryna Sadurska, placed 11th with a result of 83 meters. The Ukrainian team also participated in the European Youth Olympic Festival, where they secured 10th place with a total of 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.



Successes of Ukrainian athletes on various fronts


Participants of the World Summer Universiade in Germany brought 12 medals to the Ukrainian team: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze. The team finished 14th in the overall medal standings. One of the bronze medals was won by Mykola Rushchak from Sumy in the 20-kilometer race walk.


The most medals were won in judo, but victories were also achieved in swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis.



Events in the sports world have proven that Ukrainian athletes stand out in various international competitions, demonstrating high results and the ability to fight for victories in different disciplines. This reflects the strong potential of Ukraine's youth in sports and a significant reserve for future achievements.
