Ukrainian woman wins the European Championship in sports aerobics for the first time!
21-year-old Anastasia Kurashvili has become the first Ukrainian athlete to win gold at the European Championship in sports aerobics. In the individual program final, Kurashvili scored 20.050 points - enough to beat her opponent from Turkey, Ayshe Onbashi, by just 0.050 points and to stand on the first step of the podium for the first time in history.
This is already Kurashvili's third medal at European Championships: in 2023 she won silver in individual performances and bronze in team events. Kurashvili is one of the strongest athletes in the world in her discipline. She became the first Ukrainian world champion in 2022, won silver at the 2024 World Championship, and bronze at the 2025 World Games.
Anastasia began her career at the age of five. Already in her youth, she won national competitions and steadily rose to international podiums. In 2018, the athlete won silver at the junior world championship and subsequently won multiple medals at European tournaments.
