Lavrova and Almalha of Ukraine won bronze at the international badminton tournament

Ukrainian badminton players won bronze at the tournament in Poland


Sofia Lavrova and Raia Almalha earned bronze medals at the 'Polish International 2025 presented by YONEX' international tournament in Krakow. In the doubles category, they defeated Polish pairs twice but lost in the semifinals, securing third place.


Our Ukrainian team participated in the European Youth Olympic Festival, where they finished in 10th place. With a total of 23 medals (5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze), this performance was the second most successful in the history of our athletes' participation in the festivals.


The best sport was judo. Our athletes won six medals, including bronze in the mixed team tournament

The World Summer Universiade in Germany has also concluded. The Ukrainian national team won 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze. On the last day of the competition, Mykola Rushchak earned bronze in the 20-kilometer race walk.



Conclusion:
Ukrainian badminton players secured bronze at the tournament in Poland, reinforcing a successful performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival. Our athletes also won medals at the World Summer Universiade, enhancing the country's sporting prestige.
