The Ukrainian team in rhythmic gymnastics participated in the qualifying competitions at the World Championship 2025 in Rio de Janeiro. After these competitions, the Ukrainian gymnasts made it to all five finals of the individual routines.
On the first day of qualifications, Taisia Onofriichuk and Polina Karika reached the finals in hoop and ball routines, respectively. On the second day, the participants of the finals in clubs and ribbon were determined, as well as the complete list of participants in the all-around competition.
Performances at the World Championship
Taisia Onofriichuk showed the second-best result in the clubs and ribbon routines and also reached the all-around final. Polina Karika also made it to this final, finishing in 10th place.
The Ukrainians will be represented in all five finals of the individual routines. The schedule of gymnasts' participation in the finals was presented.
Success at international competitions
- Ukraine entered the top 10 at the European Youth Olympic Festival, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
- In total, at the Festival, the Ukrainian team won 25 awards, which is the second-best result for Ukraine.
- The most medals were won by Ukrainian athletes in judo, as well as in swimming, athletics, and other sports.
At the World Summer Universiade in Germany, Ukrainian athletes won 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
The Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics team showed impressive results at the World Championship 2025 and continues to delight sports fans with their successes on the international stage. Ukrainian athletes demonstrated a high level of skill and made it to the finals in various types of routines, which is a wonderful achievement for the team.
