Kateryna Tyshkevich's Pregnancy Journey

Actress Kateryna Tyshkevich has announced she is pregnant, a development that followed a deliberate decision made in January and conception in February of this year. As of the announcement, Tyshkevich is in her fifth month of pregnancy. In an interview, she shared:

“We’re pregnant and recently entered the second trimester. Honestly, we hadn’t even been trying all this time. I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly.” - Kateryna Tyshkevich

The pregnancy has not been without challenges. At eight weeks, Tyshkevich experienced bleeding that posed a risk of miscarriage. She woke up in the middle of the night to the bleeding, describing the moment as 'terrifying, because there was so much blood.' Following this, she spent a week in the hospital for observation and care. “I honestly didn’t know a pregnancy could survive such heavy bleeding. We went through hell in that moment,” she recounted.

Career and Personal Life

Born on September 18, 1994, in Kyiv, Kateryna Tyshkevich began her career in theater, playing the role of Olenka in the play 'In Search of Joy.' In 2015, she landed a leading role in the series 'Immortal.' Tyshkevich has also appeared in various television projects, including:

  • hosting the show 'For Girls Only' on a local channel,
  • acting in series such as 'Women's Doctor,' 'The Return of Mukhtar,' and 'Emergency Care.'

Since 2015, Tyshkevich has been in a relationship with actor Valentyn Tomusiak, and the couple married in 2019. In 2022, she disclosed health issues, including severe headaches of unknown origin. At the end of 2023, Tyshkevich was admitted to intensive care due to sepsis, with doctors temporarily placing her in a medically induced coma. “My doctor agreed. So in January we decided to try, and by February I was pregnant,” she added, emphasizing their thoughtful approach to starting a family.

Tyshkevich noted that she and her partner were eager to have a child, saying 'we had already bought a house, and there’s a space set aside for a nursery.' She also mentioned that 'we approached this so deliberately that we even calculated the astrological date and time.'

This pregnancy news draws attention not only because of Tyshkevich’s personal circumstances but also due to her prior health struggles. Becoming pregnant after serious medical issues like sepsis highlights the challenges many women face during pregnancy. Tyshkevich’s positive outlook and intentional planning may serve as an inspiration for those dreaming of having children.

As Kateryna Tyshkevich navigates the complexities of her pregnancy, her experience resonates with other actresses facing personal challenges during this pivotal time. For instance, Victoria Bilan-Rashchuk recently opened up about her own struggles during pregnancy, including betrayal and emotional turmoil. Such stories highlight the often unseen difficulties that can accompany motherhood in the public eye.
