According to the FBU, the new season of the men's basketball Superleague will start on October 3. This season the number of participants will increase to ten teams, with eight from the previous season supplemented by the finalists of the Higher League.
In the new season, the regular championship will take place in three rounds, after which the top eight teams will enter the playoffs. The regular championship games will be held in a bubble format. For fans, game days will mainly fall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Superleague Favbet games will be held in cities where regional administrations provide permission.
Schedule of the first games and venues
The first bubbles of the new Superleague season will be held in Cherkasy and Kyiv:
- On October 3-4 in Cherkasy, Cherkasy Monkeys, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv Sokoly will play.
- The bubble will start in the capital's PS Veneto, where Kyiv-Basket, Rivne, Kryvbas, and Niko-Basket will compete.
The second round is scheduled to take place in Lutsk and Mykolaiv on October 11-12, and the third round in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia on October 18-19.
