The Ukrainian military intelligence has obtained confidential data on Russia's latest nuclear submarine. This submarine belongs to project 955A 'Borey-A' and is named 'Prince Pozharsky'. It was commissioned to the 31st submarine division of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation on July 24, 2025.
According to information from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, our intelligence officers obtained data about the crew, instructions, design, and maintenance procedures of 'Prince Pozharsky'. This will allow for a detailed analysis of the submarine and identify vulnerabilities and technical features of other vessels of this type.
'Prince Pozharsky' is one of the most modern units in the composition of the Russian nuclear triad. These submarines are capable of carrying 16 R-30 'Bulava-30' ballistic missiles.
Ukrainian intelligence noted that 'Prince Pozharsky' is based in Gadzhievo, located in the Murmansk region of Russia. Earlier, our forces have already conducted successful reconnaissance operations in this area.
