The Ukrainian Force Charity Foundation

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Force Charity Foundation has been operating continuously. Its founders—Yaroslav Maiboroda, Stepan Yarmus, and Vasyl Kostiuk—focus exclusively on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The foundation is funded solely by its founders and does not run public fundraising campaigns, which allows it to respond quickly to military requests.

To date, the foundation has provided more than 150 vehicles, including:

  • pickup trucks
  • SUVs
  • all-wheel-drive minibuses

In addition, it has supplied several hundred drones, along with communication equipment, laptops, batteries, generators, thermal imagers, optical sights, and 3D printers. A full summary of the foundation’s work is planned for 2025.

Yaroslav Maiboroda, one of the co-founders, notes that his volunteering began back in 2014, when he started helping former classmates from the Lviv State Lyceum named after Heroes of Kruty. He emphasizes the importance of direct engagement with military personnel:

“There was a need to personally travel to the ATO zone, delivering vehicles and gear. That firsthand experience helped us better understand what units truly need.” – Yaroslav Maiboroda

Stepan Yarmus, who also began supporting the military in 2014, joined the foundation, merging his experience with that of the other founders. “We decided to combine our expertise, resources, and contacts to shorten the distance between a military request and the delivery of necessary equipment,” says Yaroslav Maiboroda about working with Yarmus. In the spring of 2023, Vasyl Kostiuk came on board. He describes the foundation’s work as inspiring: “Once you get involved with the Foundation, you want to do even more—learn about different types of vehicles and UAVs, and search for new solutions that can help the military.”

Vasyl Kostiuk also stresses the importance of supporting one’s homeland: “We must build and defend our country, because our future is here. No matter your financial situation or social status, in other countries you will always be a guest.” He confirms that the foundation will continue to fund its operations and expand support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Role of Volunteer Efforts

In this way, the Ukrainian Force Charity Foundation continues its vital work, equipping Ukraine’s military with necessary gear and technology, drawing on the founders’ experience and resources.

The foundation’s activities highlight the critical role volunteers play in sustaining the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the war. Thanks to its independent funding model and direct communication with soldiers, the organization can react swiftly to their needs. As the conflict continues and demands on military resources grow, initiatives like Ukrainian Force may prove essential to maintaining the country’s defense capabilities.
