Ministry of Defense: Ukraine's Strikes Halted Seven of Ten Largest Wildberries Hubs
Details of the Attacks on the Marketplace's Distribution Centers
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, seven of the ten largest logistics centers of Wildberries in Russia have been halted due to Ukrainian strikes. The attacks have been ongoing since July 18, and the total losses for the sellers are already estimated at around 280 billion rubles — approximately $3.5 billion. Wildberries is the largest marketplace in the Russian Federation, so disruptions in its operations directly affect thousands of sellers and buyers.
The largest affected facility is a warehouse in the Moscow region of Koledino, which covers an area of about 250,000 square meters. It was attacked on the night of August 16, when fires also engulfed the Northern Domodedovo complex.
The strikes from Ukrainian forces have targeted Wildberries warehouses in the following regions:
- Moscow Region
- Tambov Region
- Ryazan Region
- Krasnodar Krai
- Stavropol Krai
- Saint Petersburg
- Leningrad Region
- Yekaterinburg
- Penza Region
- Udmurtia
Vladimir Zelensky called these attacks a response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. According to him, the affected warehouses provided supplies of sanctioned components for the production of drones and navigation equipment.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine added:
“The logistics system of Russia is fully feeling the consequences of the war that the Russian Federation has brought to Ukrainian land.”
