On January 14, three Ukrainian players participated in the matches of this prestigious tournament, highlighting the increasing role of Ukrainian basketball on the international stage.
- In the match between 'Silesia' and 'Venice', Issuf Sanon scored 12 points in 20 minutes, which was a substantial contribution to the game.
- Oleksandr Kovliar, who also played that day, scored 2 points in 10 minutes in the match 'Buducnost' against 'Litkabelis', where his team won 95:81.
- Dmytro Skapintsev, in turn, also made his mark in the match 'Hapoel' against 'Aris', where he scored 2 points in 7 minutes, and his team won with a score of 96:77.
Qualification for the World Championship 2027
The national men's basketball team of Ukraine achieved an important victory over Denmark with a score of 88:71 in the qualification for the World Championship 2027. This victory was the next step after a successful debut in the qualifiers, where Ukraine had already beaten Georgia with a score of 92:79. In this match, Oleksandr Kovliar became the top scorer, scoring 31 points and also making 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
