Expanding the Reach of Ukrainian Drone Operations
Advanced Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have significantly extended their operational range, now capable of striking deep into Russian territory as far as the Ural Mountains. 'This makes a quarter of Russian territory—where over 70% of the population lives—accessible to Ukrainian drones,' said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Speaking at the European Political Community summit, Zelenskyy also stated that the summer of 2026 could prove decisive. Ukrainian drone strikes are reducing Kremlin revenues and limiting its ability to generate profits, especially amid rising prices linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
