Strikes on Bashkortostan Infrastructure
On the morning of August 13, Ukrainian drones struck two sites in Bashkortostan: the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat refinery and the Wildberries distribution hub located in Chishmy. The hits were reported by the Exilenova+ monitoring channel. Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is among Russia's largest oil refining and petrochemical facilities, processing roughly 10 million tons of crude a year. Its output includes gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, and polyethylene.
A fire broke out at the refinery after the strike, forcing a halt to crude processing. This was not the first attack on the plant; another incident was recorded in September 2025. The Wildberries logistics hub in Chishmy also suffered serious damage. Local reporters filmed three explosions in just 40 seconds and counted at least seven drones. A fire erupted at the Wildberries site as well. OSINT analysts from Militarnyi confirmed the strike on the logistics facility, which sits within the Center Agrotechnology agro-park in Chishminsky district.
Wildberries Distribution Center: Construction and Impact
Construction of the Wildberries logistics center began in 2024, with a total footprint of approximately 186,800 square meters. Although the Chishmy facility remains unfinished, the marketplace is already using some capacity. On the night of August 11, Ukrainian drones also attacked a Wildberries logistics complex outside Voronezh, a facility covering 152,900 square meters and able to hold more than 90 million product items.
According to Data Insight, Wildberries has lost at least 12 major warehouse complexes as a result of the recent wave of Ukrainian strikes. The company's press office confirmed the fire at its Bashkortostan site, stating:
"Due to the air attack in Bashkortostan, a fire started in the industrial zone where one of the company's facilities is located. Fire crews are currently at the scene."
These strikes are part of Ukraine's broader campaign to disrupt Russian fuel production and logistics networks, highlighting Kyiv's ability to hit strategically important targets far from the front lines.
The recent attacks on Bashkortostan's infrastructure are not isolated incidents. Just days prior, a distribution center near Voronezh faced a similar fate, highlighting a concerning pattern of strikes targeting critical logistics hubs across Russia. This escalation raises questions about the broader implications for supply chains and operational capacities in the region.
