Success of Ukrainian Freestyle Skiers at the World Cup

Ukrainian freestyle skiers successfully concluded the 2025/26 World Cup season, winning three medals: two gold and one silver. Oleksandr Okipnyuk and Dmytro Kotovskyi were crowned gold medalists, while Yan Havyriuk took home the silver. Okipnyuk secured gold at the competitions in Ruka (Finland), while Kotovskyi clinched first place in Lac-Beauport (Canada). Havyriuk, in turn, received the silver medal at Lake Placid (USA).

Preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympics

After the season ended, the qualifying period for the 2026 Winter Olympics has also concluded. Official confirmation and distribution of Olympic licenses are expected according to the FIS ranking. The Ukrainian national team is actively preparing for the XXV Winter Olympics, which will take place in Milan and Cortina in 2026. The athletes' preparation continues, as participation in the Olympics is a significant milestone in their careers.

The successful performances of Ukrainian freestyle skiers at the World Cup highlight the growing competitiveness of Ukrainian athletes on the international stage.
