Ukrainian Para Fencers Excel at World Cup Event

At the Zsolt Kaposvari Memorial World Cup in Budapest, Ukrainian para fencers delivered a standout performance, earning a total of eight medals. This impressive haul propelled the Ukrainian team to a third-place finish in the overall medal standings, competing against more than 20 other nations and showcasing the squad's high level of skill. Para fencing is a dynamic and growing Paralympic sport, adapting traditional fencing for athletes with physical impairments.

The medal breakdown for the Ukrainian team is as follows:

    • Andrii Demchuk in Category A Sabre
    • The team of Oleg Naumenko, Oleksii Zakusylov, Eduard Kudenko, and Artem Manko in Épée
