Ukrainians won silver and bronze at the World Games: a double success in powerlifting

Ukrainian athletes continue to delight with victories at the World Games in Chend. Tetyana Bila and Anastasiya Derevyanko showed excellent results in powerlifting, winning silver and bronze, respectively. Tetyana amazed everyone with her squat of 207.5 kg, bench press of 130 kg, and deadlift of 175 kg, earning a high score according to the IPF formula. Anastasiya, with the bronze medal, performed a squat of 205 kg, bench press of 127.5 kg, and deadlift of 180 kg.



The highest podium place in the category belonged to Polish athlete Zuzanna Kuli, who set a world record in the squat - 223 kg.


This is already the second bronze medal for Anastasiya Derevyanko at the World Games. Ukraine can also be proud of reaching the top 10 in the overall medal count of the European Youth Olympic Festival, ranking 10th with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.


Ukrainian athletes continue to raise the bar and show impressive results in international competitions, proving their high professionalism and willpower. Our representatives deserve our support and make us all proud with their achievements on the sports arena.
