Ukrainian checkers players achieved victory at the World Checkers Championship in Italy, reports 'Glavcom' based on information from the Base of Ukrainian Sports.
Anastasia Hlushko became the world champion in classic play, while Nadiya Chyzhyevska won silver. Ukrainian juniors also showed successful results, with Valeriia Yezhova winning a silver medal.
In the women's blitz, the Ukrainian team also celebrated victory: Hlushko became champion, Chyzhyevska took second place, and Valeriia Yezhova was a bronze medalist. Additionally, in the men's tournament, Ukrainian athletes also demonstrated high results.
