Ukraine's Military Operations
On the night of May 7, Ukraine's defense forces hit a small missile ship of Project 22800, the Karakurt, while it was docked at its base in Kaspiysk, Dagestan. This vessel is a platform for launching Kalibr cruise missiles. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
During the same night, Ukrainian troops also targeted a Russian command post in Sosnivka, Luhansk region. Additionally, they struck a facility used to control enemy drones near Yasne in Donetsk region. Other targets included:
- ammunition depots in Kalmykivka;
- fuel and lubricant storage sites near Smolyanynove in Luhansk region.
Ukrainian defense forces also engaged concentrations of enemy personnel in the areas of Dersove in Donetsk region and Smile in Zaporizhzhia region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that 'Ukrainian military personnel will continue to systematically strike enemy targets until the full cessation of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.'
