Ukrainian Defense Forces Conduct Long-Range Strikes

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have carried out precise long-distance attacks targeting key military and industrial facilities within Russia, including sites in:

  • Samara region
  • Saratov refinery
  • Chemical plant in Volgograd
  • Military installations in Donetsk
  • Bryansk region
  • Novy Urengoy
  • Novorossiysk
  • Crimea
  • Dagestan

Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Yevhen Khmara, highlighted the successful strike on a Samara-based facility producing high-octane gasoline additives, synthetic rubber, and monomers. This plant also supplies essential components for solid rocket fuel used in tactical and ballistic missiles.

Targeting Strategic Infrastructure

Among the recent operations, a refinery in Saratov was set ablaze. Additionally, a sanctioned chemical plant in Volgograd, known for manufacturing ferrocene-based combustion catalysts and developing chemical production technologies, was hit. Since Monday, locations housing and launching strike drones near Donetsk have been targeted.

In the Bryansk region, three radar stations and a ground relay system guiding drones targeting Ukrainian civilian areas were destroyed. The Defense Forces set a new deep-strike record in 2026 by hitting a major gas condensate processing facility in Novy Urengoy, situated approximately 3,000 km from Ukraine’s border. In Novorossiysk, at least three military vessels were damaged, while in Crimea, a patrol boat and intelligence antenna complexes were struck. A critical port in Dagestan, a hub for the supply of Iranian Shahed drones and components, was also targeted.

These operations demonstrate Ukraine’s strategic focus on debilitating enemy infrastructure critical to Russia’s military capabilities. The scale and precision of these strikes indicate a growing operational capacity of the Ukrainian Defense Forces amid the ongoing conflict. However, these attacks could provoke significant responses from Russia, potentially influencing the future dynamics of the regional security situation.
