Ukrainian Forces Target Russian 'Energia' Factory in Lipetsk Region with Missile Strike, Damaging Two Facilities

Українські військові завдали удару по російському заводові Енергія у Липецькій області, знищивши важливі об'єкти виробництва.

Missile Attack Hits Russia's 'Energia' Factory

On October 25, Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a missile strike against the Russian 'Energia' factory located in Yelets, Lipetsk region. This facility is Russia's sole producer of batteries used in guidance and control modules for aerial bombs. These batteries are critical components in Russian missile systems including:

  • Iskander-M
  • Zircon
  • RM-48U
  • 95Ya6 (used in Pantsir systems)
  • Kh-47M2 Kinzhal

The assault resulted in at least seven confirmed impacts, severely damaging two production buildings—one was completely destroyed, while the other was gutted by fire internally. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces officially confirmed this operation.

Additional Strikes by Ukrainian Forces

Earlier, on October 23, Ukrainian forces targeted the Proton-Electroteks plant in Oryol, Oryol region, destroying its main workshop where microchips were manufactured, and damaging the facility’s building and servers. On October 24, a missile strike hit the Tolyattikauchuk complex in Tolyatti, Samara region. Preliminary reports suggest that on October 26, the Voronezhsintezkauchuk factory in Voronezh region, owned by the company Sibur, may have also been damaged. This plant produces materials used in tires for military aircraft, heavy wheeled vehicles, and missile manufacturing.

This strike demonstrates Ukraine’s focused efforts to dismantle infrastructure tied to Russia’s arms production capabilities.

The use of Storm Shadow cruise missiles in the recent strike highlights Ukraine’s access to advanced precision weaponry capable of targeting critical military-industrial sites. These coordinated attacks reflect a deliberate strategy to disrupt Russia’s supply chains and manufacturing capacity for military hardware. The endorsement of these operations by the Ukrainian General Staff indicates high-level support, which could influence the conflict’s trajectory and Russia’s military effectiveness. Future strikes may escalate regional tensions and signal evolving tactics from both sides as the war progresses.

Following the recent strike on the 'Energia' factory, Ukrainian forces continue their strategic campaign against key military assets, as evidenced by their earlier attacks on missile production facilities and aircraft at Yeysk Airfield. This pattern of targeted operations underscores Ukraine's commitment to crippling Russia's military capabilities.
