Overnight Strikes Hit Tuapse Oil Refinery and Voronezh Air Base: Ukrainian Forces

Нічні атаки на об'єкти нафтої промисловості в Туапсе та військову базу у Воронежі: дії Збройних сил України.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces Launch Night Assaults

On the night of May 27, 2024, Ukraine’s defense forces carried out attacks on several strategic enemy assets. These included an oil refinery in Tuapse, as well as reconnaissance hardware and software systems used by the Russian Air Force in Voronezh, Taganrog, and Sevastopol. The strikes also targeted command posts, supply depots, and radar stations held by opposing forces.

Specifically, Ukrainian defense units hit the Tuapse Oil Refinery, sparking a fire and sending smoke across the facility. In addition, using Storm Shadow missiles, Ukrainian Air Force units struck the automated reconnaissance equipment of the Russian Air Force in Voronezh, along with similar assets near Taganrog and Sevastopol. Further strikes damaged enemy command centers in the Tsvitni Pisky and Sorokyne areas of Luhansk Oblast, as well as a logistics depot in Sorokyne.

Attacks on Enemy Infrastructure

Additional hits were recorded against a drone manufacturing site in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a Nebo-SV radar station near Kamianka, and a Buk-M2 system command vehicle close to Kadiivka. In Voronezh, the Baltimore air base was targeted—home to the 47th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 105th Mixed Aviation Division, which operates Su-34 aircraft.

Meanwhile, drones struck the Tuapse oil depot, also igniting a blaze at that location. These overnight offensives by Ukraine’s defense forces aimed to dismantle key military and infrastructure assets held by the adversary.

These strikes highlight Ukraine’s ongoing active role in the conflict, seeking to degrade Russia’s military capacity—especially in border regions. Targeting such strategic sites could significantly hinder the enemy’s ability to conduct operations and supply its troops.

The use of advanced weaponry like Storm Shadow missiles further underscores Ukraine’s commitment to leveraging modern technology to achieve its wartime objectives.

In a related series of operations, Ukrainian forces have also targeted vital enemy infrastructure, striking an oil refinery in Yaroslavl and a drone depot in Rostov. These coordinated attacks underscore the strategic efforts to disrupt Russian supply lines and operational capabilities.
