Damage to strategic objects of the Russian army

On the night of January 7, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the 'Oskolnefteesnab' oil depot in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. This strike led to a massive fire at the facility, which supplies fuel to the occupying army. In addition, Ukrainian forces also hit a logistics supply depot of the 20th Motorized Rifle Division in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.

On December 31, Ukrainian troops struck the Tuapse Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar region. Strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded over the territory of this refinery. Throughout December 2022, a record number of attacks on Russia's energy infrastructure was recorded, including at least 24 strikes on Russian oil refineries and other facilities.

Impact on the logistics of occupation forces

The 'Oskolnefteesnab' oil depot and the Tuapse Oil Refinery are vital strategic facilities for supplying fuel to the Russian army, and their destruction could significantly affect the logistics and combat capabilities of the occupation forces. In this context, damage to two vertical RVS-5000 tanks at the strategic reserve oil depot 'Temp' in the Yaroslavl region is also noted.

These strikes indicate the continuation of Ukraine's active strategy to target key logistical objects of the enemy, which could significantly affect the ability of Russian troops to conduct operations in Ukraine. Given the high level of attacks on energy infrastructure, this could lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of combat operations by Russian forces in the near future.
