The 'Identity Marks' Project
Over the course of 42 days, Karina Gaeva and Shuivan Vika, representatives of the 'Identity Marks' project, showcased Ukrainian cultural symbols across seven countries and 14 cities spanning Europe and Africa. This global tour highlights the importance of Ukrainian culture on the international stage and reveals the richness of its symbolic heritage.
Showcase Event: 'THE RUSHNYK UNFURLS'
On July 10, a special showcase event titled 'THE RUSHNYK UNFURLS' will take place in Kyiv to mark the completion of the tour's first phase. The event will be held at the All-Ukrainian Youth Center at 17 Esplanadna Street, starting at 3:00 PM. It is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and the All-Ukrainian Youth Center in partnership with the NGO 'Art Association “Symbols of Identity”.'
The tour covered a diverse range of cities—from Vienna and Lisbon to Casablanca, Paris, and Bern—underscoring the global cultural significance of Ukrainian symbols. Registration for the event is now open.
More than just a promotion of Ukrainian culture, this project builds bridges between nations, demonstrating how cultural symbols can unite people. The Kyiv showcase represents a key milestone for future initiatives that aim to sustain international cultural exchange and strengthen Ukraine’s presence on the world stage.
