50,000 Hygiene Kits Delivered to Ukrainian Military Hospitals for Wounded Soldiers

Допомога українським лікарням: 50,000 гігієнічних наборів для поранених військових.

Aid for Wounded Service Members

Ukrainian military hospitals have received their first major shipment of specialized hygiene kits for wounded soldiers. The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense has completed the delivery of 50,000 'wounded warrior packs,' with a total value exceeding 26 million hryvnias. This initiative aims to improve conditions for those injured in the line of duty, providing essential comfort during recovery.

Contents of the Hygiene Kits

Each hygiene kit contains a basic assortment of items, including:

  • a towel
  • toothbrush and toothpaste
  • shampoo
  • shower gel
  • deodorant
  • cream
  • shaving supplies
  • a comb
  • cotton swabs
  • antiseptic
  • wet and dry wipes

Of the 50,000 kits, 2,000 are designated specifically for female service members. These are supplemented with special feminine hygiene products, cosmetic cotton pads, and a silicone hair tie.

In addition to the hygiene items, each pack includes a legal guide from the 'Principle' Human Rights Center and a thank-you postcard featuring a child's drawing. Every kit also bears a QR code, enabling soldiers who receive them to provide direct feedback and suggestions. This comprehensive support is a vital step in sustaining the morale and well-being of Ukraine's defenders, who face immense challenges on the front lines.

The delivery of these kits is part of ongoing efforts by the Ukrainian government and military structures to provide support and improve conditions for wounded personnel. Supplying such essentials underscores the importance of not only medical but also psychological care for soldiers recovering from severe trauma. It also demonstrates attention to the needs of women in the military, marking a significant step toward ensuring greater gender equality within the armed forces.
