Ukrainian shooters continue to fill their medal collection at the European Shooting Championship held in the city of Chatoro (France). This was reported by 'Hlavkom'.
The silver medalists of the European Championship are our men's junior trio. Alexey Tsion, Vladislav Medushevsky, and Ivan Martinov took second place in the rapid-fire pistol shooting among juniors (MP TRIO event, pistol).
Recall that Ukraine made it to the top-10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing in 10th place. The Ukrainian team's achievements include: 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This is the second most successful performance by Ukraine in the entire history of participation in the Festivals since 1993! The 'blue-yellow' team won more medals only in 2019 - when they achieved 25 awards.
The most successful sport was judo - our athletes won six medals, including bronze in the mixed team tournament on the final competitive day. Besides judo, medals for Ukraine were won by representatives of sports such as swimming (2 gold, 2 silver, and 'bronze'), athletics ('gold', 'silver', and 2 bronzes), taekwondo (2 silver and 'bronze'), shooting (silver and 'bronze'), artistic gymnastics ('silver' and 'bronze'), and table tennis (bronze).

On the final day of the competition, the Ukrainian team won another medal - bronze. It was won by Nikolai Rushak from Sumy in the 20-kilometer race walk. Ukraine finished 14th in the overall medal standings. In total, our athletes won 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
The Ukrainian shooters showed excellent results at the European Shooting Championship, winning silver, and our sports team demonstrated the highest performance in recent years, achieving 12 medals at two important sports competitions. Ukrainian athletes represent the country well on the international stage and continue to delight the Ukrainian people with their achievements.
