Young Ukrainian Sambo Stars Shine in Bulgaria
A team of young sambo competitors from Ukraine delivered an outstanding performance at the Ivan Doktorov Memorial Tournament, held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The event featured 130 cadets aged 14 to 16, representing 12 different nations.
Ukraine's Medal Haul
Ukraine sent seven athletes to the competition, and every single one of them returned with a medal, showcasing exceptional skill and preparation. The final tally included:
- Three gold medals, won by:
- Inna Mykhailiuk (up to 44 kg category)
- Mariia Nahorniak (up to 59 kg)
- Illia Viun (up to 64 kg)
- Two silver medals, earned by:
- Taras Nahorniak (up to 53 kg)
- Zakhar Nahorniak (up to 64 kg)
- Two bronze medals, secured by:
- Konstantyn Beniuk (up to 46 kg)
- Alina Sadruk (up to 47 kg)
