Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Military Targets from Crimea to Bryansk Region

Українські війська завдають ударів по військовим об'єктам Росії від Криму до Брянської області.

Ukrainian Defense Forces Target Russian Military Infrastructure

On March 16 and into the early hours of March 17, Ukrainian military units conducted strikes against a series of Russian army facilities. These coordinated attacks demonstrate Ukraine's ongoing capacity to target Russian assets deep behind the front lines. The list of damaged targets includes:

  • An air defense missile system
  • A Bastion coastal defense missile complex
  • A communications hub
  • Logistics facilities
  • A training center
  • Command posts

Specifically, a Tor-M2U air defense system was hit near the city of Klintsy in Russia's Bryansk region. Ukrainian forces also struck an area where a missile battalion from Russia's 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet was concentrated, near the settlement of Verkhnokurganne in Crimea. A communications node for Russian troops, located in the Mangush area of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, was successfully targeted as well.

Furthermore, a fuel and lubricants storage site in Melitopol was struck, along with ammunition depots in the Stepne and Terpinnya areas of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. A training center for drone operators was hit near Henicheska Hirka in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region. Russian drone command posts in the Huliaipole and Obratne areas of Zaporizhzhia region also sustained damage.

Continuation of Active Combat Operations

In a separate action, Ukrainian forces struck an area where enemy personnel were concentrated near Chasovyi Yar in the Donetsk region. This follows a previous strike on the night of March 14-15, when Ukrainian Defense Forces hit Protivnik and Parol radar stations, as well as a launch unit of an S-400 Triumph air defense system. These operations indicate a sustained and active campaign aimed at degrading the enemy's military infrastructure and disrupting its operational capabilities.

These strikes form part of Ukraine's consistent efforts to erode Russian military potential within the context of the ongoing war. Targeting critical assets like air defense systems and ammunition depots can significantly hinder the adversary's operational effectiveness. The geographic spread and nature of the attacks suggest Ukrainian forces are refining their strategies to maximize impact across the theater of conflict.

These recent operations reflect a broader strategy by the Ukrainian military to disrupt Russian forces across multiple fronts.
