Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Poland will face increased tax control from 2026

Підприємці з України в Польщі зіткнуться з новими правилами оподаткування, починаючи з 2026 року.

Increased tax control for Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Poland

Starting from 2026, Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Poland will be under increased supervision of tax authorities. This is related to the implementation of new control mechanisms aimed at combating shadow financial schemes. As part of these changes, banking institutions are obligated to provide detailed information to the tax service about all operations carried out on the entrepreneurs' cards.

According to the new rules, if the total amount of payments exceeds 25 thousand euros (approximately 105 thousand zlotys) within a year, the controlling authorities will be notified. The tax inspection will have access to personal identification data, account numbers, as well as information about deposits and payments. This will allow for more effective tracking of the financial flows of Ukrainian entrepreneurs on the territory of Poland.

New threshold for individuals

In addition, starting from January 1, the Polish tax service will begin to monitor the movement of funds on individual cards. For them, the critical threshold is set at 30 thousand zlotys in income within a year. If this limit is exceeded, the tax inspection will check whether there were undeclared incomes. The standard tax rate on undeclared incomes is 19%, which further emphasizes the importance of fulfilling tax obligations.

The introduction of new tax mechanisms in Poland indicates a growing focus on ensuring fiscal discipline and combating tax evasion.

Ukrainian entrepreneurs conducting business in Poland need to be prepared for changes in the rules of the game and reconsider their financial strategies to avoid potential fines and sanctions. This also emphasizes the importance of transparency in conducting business and timely fulfillment of tax obligations for the stable development of entrepreneurship in another country.
