Political Analyst Yuriy Romanenko Weighs In on Fire Point
In a recent broadcast, political analyst Yuriy Romanenko addressed the media campaign targeting Fire Point, a Ukrainian manufacturer of long-range missiles and drones. He emphasized that domestic engineers have developed strategic-level strike capabilities, effectively filling the void created by Western reluctance to supply Kyiv with long-range weaponry. Romanenko noted that repeated attacks on enemy rear infrastructure are fundamentally altering the conflict's dynamics. Specifically, Ukrainian strikes on oil refining complexes have introduced volatility into global energy markets.
According to Romanenko, Germany—already grappling with its own energy crisis—would prefer that Ukraine cease its strikes on the Ust-Luga facility. He also identified the head engineer of Fire Point as Denys Shtilerman. Currently, the company produces thousands of long-range drones each month, a volume that is having a tangible impact on battlefield conditions.
“This is directly tied to the capabilities Fire Point has demonstrated: the ability to strike deep behind enemy lines.” – Yuriy Romanenko
The analyst stressed that Fire Point's operations are inflicting serious damage on Russia's economy, which in turn reduces Ukraine's dependence on the United States and Europe. “All our requests to be supplied with long-range weapons were consistently met with refusal,” Romanenko remarked. He pointed out that Ukraine currently lacks any system capable of flying more than 500 or 600 kilometers, adding that the Taurus and Tomahawk missiles remain nothing more than a fantasy.
Fire Point's Impact on the Situation in Ukraine
Romanenko argued that Fire Point's emergence has shifted the battlefield equation, as the company has proven capable of mass-producing drones. “Everyone saw that it works—Ukraine is fighting back, Ukraine can deliver painful blows,” the expert stated. He added, “Perhaps without even realizing it, Zelenskyy has gained a powerful trump card in the form of Fire Point.” Romanenko compared Shtilerman to Elon Musk, praising his innovative approach to problem-solving.
As a result, Fire Point and its products remain a focal point of attention both inside Ukraine and abroad. The significance of Ukrainian long-range weaponry, particularly in altering the course of the conflict, underscores its influence on global geopolitics. Given the new challenges Ukraine faces, the growth of companies like Fire Point could become a decisive factor in the country's defense strategy.
As the situation evolves, the impact of domestic defense innovations like Fire Point is becoming increasingly evident.
