The Canadian football club 'Montreal' has announced the transfer of Ukrainian footballer Ivan Losenko from Donetsk's 'Shakhtar'. The agreement includes a one-year loan with the option to extend the collaboration for another two seasons, until the summer of 2028. Losenko has become the second Ukrainian footballer in 'Montreal', joining Hennadiy Synchuk, who also previously signed a contract with the club.

Ivan Losenko's Career

Ivan Losenko is 21 years old and is a product of the 'Shakhtar' academy. Throughout his career, he has appeared for Ukraine's youth national teams of various age categories, including:

  • U16
  • U19
  • U21

In the 2025/26 season, Losenko spent the first half of the season on loan at 'Kudrivka', where he participated in 13 matches. He also played for 'Inhulets', where he made his professional debut in the fall of 2024.

Ivan Losenko's transfer to 'Montreal' indicates the growing presence of Ukrainian footballers in international leagues, opening up new opportunities for the development of their careers.

This transfer could be an important step not only for Losenko himself but also for the development of Ukrainian football as a whole.
