Last evening, a serious car accident occurred on the Kyiv - Chop highway, involving well-known Ukrainian football player - Vasyl Kravets, a defender for 'Metalist 1925'. This information is reported by 'Glavkom'.
The incident, involving four vehicles, took place near the village of Tarakaniv in the Dubno district of the Rivne region. Three large trucks, brands DAF, Volvo, and Scania, collided with a passenger car Mercedes-Benz E 220 d, in which the athlete was traveling with his wife Yaryna and their child.
“The car was practically destroyed, and the fact that we survived is a real miracle,” said the wife of football player Vasyl Kravets.
The passenger car with the football player ended up between large trucks, leading to massive deformation. The driver managed to get out of the car on his own, but his wife and child were trapped inside. Their rescue required the help of rescuers who used special equipment to free the victims.
“A big thank you to God for saving our family's lives and to everyone who supported us during this difficult time,” noted the football player on his Instagram.
After the victims were freed from the car, they were taken to the hospital for examination. Fortunately, only minor injuries and shock were suffered by the children and adults in the Mercedes. Other participants in the accident refused hospitalization, as they sustained minor injuries.
The law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident to determine the perpetrators. The miracle is that in this situation, everyone escaped with only light bodily injuries.
