Dmytro Chyhrynskyi Appointed as Head Coach
Dmytro Chyhrynskyi has been named the new head coach of the Cypriot club Krasava. The 39-year-old coach has signed a one-season contract. Before this role, Chyhrynskyi served as an assistant head coach at the Greek club Aris. He ended his playing career at the start of 2025.
Krasava FC and Its Ukrainian Players
Krasava FC, founded in 2021 by Russian Yevgeny Savin, relocated to Cyprus after Savin announced the move on May 31, 2022. The club acquired the local team Ipsona, and following the 2024/25 season, Krasava earned promotion to the Cypriot top division. The squad includes Ukrainian footballers:
- goalkeeper Yuriy Avramenko
- defensive midfielder Dmytro Melnychenko
In another major development, Oleksandr Zubkov has transferred to Greek side AEK. The 29-year-old player signed a four-year deal lasting until the summer of 2030. Zubkov’s transfer fee was set at 4 million euros, with additional bonus payments of 500,000 euros. Trabzonspor retained the right to 10% of any future resale of the player.
Chyhrynskyi’s appointment as head coach highlights Krasava’s ambitions to establish itself in the Cypriot football elite after its recent promotion. Ukrainian players remain a key part of the team, which could boost the profile of Ukrainian football abroad.
