Transfer of Yevhen Kucherenko to 'Panetolikos'

Ukrainian goalkeeper Yevhen Kucherenko has changed clubs, signing a two-year contract with Greek 'Panetolikos' after his time at 'Dundee United'. In his new team, Kucherenko has chosen the number 99 jersey. This decision marks another stage in the goalkeeper's career, as Greece has now become the sixth country he has played in.

Statistics and Previous Experience

It is worth noting that Kucherenko joined 'Dundee United' in the summer of 2025 when the club acquired him for 300 thousand euros. In the current season, he played 17 matches, conceding 26 goals, and recorded 4 clean sheets. However, in November 2023, Kucherenko suffered a calf muscle rupture, which may have affected his performances.

Before moving to 'Panetolikos', Kucherenko played for the following teams:

  • 'Leiria' (Portugal)
  • 'Aksu' (Kazakhstan)
  • 'Dili' (Georgia)
  • 'Kolос' and 'Podillya' (Ukraine)

Currently, 'Panetolikos' is in 9th place in the Greek Super League, with 15 points accumulated. Yevhen Kucherenko's market value is around 400 thousand euros.

Kucherenko's transfer to 'Panetolikos' demonstrates his determination to continue his career in new conditions and increase his chances for successful performances in European leagues. The Greek Super League, despite the average level of 'Panetolikos', can provide the goalkeeper an opportunity to regain form after injury and showcase his abilities on an international level. This transfer also reflects the general trend of Ukrainian footballers seeking new opportunities abroad, which can positively impact their careers and experience.
