Ukraine’s Domestic Resources Take Center Stage in Combat Operations
Polish analyst Piotr Kulpa has stated that the majority of Ukraine’s offensive operations deep behind enemy lines rely on homegrown resources rather than Western-supplied weapons. According to him, up to 80% of all effective strikes against the Russian Federation are carried out exclusively by Ukraine’s own defense industrial base. The primary constraint on these missions is not a lack of hardware, but a shortage of trained drone operators.
Speaking on a broadcast hosted by political scientist Yuri Romanenko, Kulpa emphasized that
“the overwhelming majority of weapons directly defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence are products of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.”He further noted that
“up to eighty percent of all truly painful strikes that the Russian Federation systematically endures—both along the front line and deep within its own territory—are delivered exclusively by Ukrainian-made systems.”
Kulpa also highlighted that
“our own uninterrupted weapons production allows us not only to keep hitting the enemy but also to gradually build up the strategic reserves needed for large-scale operations.”In his view, the current limiting factor is not the number of drones being manufactured, but the availability of enough trained personnel who can
“intelligently, systematically, and professionally deploy them against targets.”
