Forecast of frosty conditions in Ukraine
Forecasters predict severe frosty weather conditions in Ukraine, with temperatures down to -20 degrees in the northern regions starting from January 15th. On this day, a 'descent from the peak' with frosts is expected, bringing a significant drop in temperature.
At night on January 15th, air temperatures will drop to -12 to -18 degrees, while in northern regions, frosts will reach -20 degrees. During the day, temperatures in Ukraine will fluctuate from -4 to -9 degrees. In Kyiv, night temperatures are forecasted to be -16 to -18 degrees, and during the day -10 to -12 degrees. In western Ukraine, particularly in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zakarpattia regions, daytime temperatures are expected to be 0 to 2 degrees below zero.
Forecasters' recommendations
Precipitation will be distributed unevenly: localized snow will fall, however, it will remain dry in the center and north of the country. Forecaster Natalka Didenko noted that
'frosts will dominate in the near future'and recommended residents to stay in double pants, sweaters, socks, and thermal underwear to keep warm.
