On Thursday and Friday, July 17-18, a wave of fresh air will break through most of Ukraine. The temperature will temporarily drop, but in just a few days, the hellish heat will return. This was reported by 'Gromadske' with reference to the forecast of meteorologist Natalia Didenko.
On July 17-18, the temperature will temporarily decrease to quite unusual values for July: +18…+25°C. In the southern and eastern regions, it will be warmer – up to +26…+30°C. However, next weekend the temperature will start to rise again, and a real surge of heat is expected at the beginning of next week.
Forecast until July 22
On Tuesday, July 22, the thermometers could rise to record +40°C and even a little higher.
'I emphasize once again, this is a preliminary forecast, because it is too far away, however, being at least informed and ready for any serious meteorological events and not just meteorological ones is our duty, especially now,' Didenko emphasized.
Let us remind you that on June 28, a record temperature of 46 degrees was recorded in Spain. The previous record, set in June 1965 in Seville, was 45.2 degrees. The heat in May-July led to the premature death of 1,180 people in Spain.
It was also reported that in Greece, the Ministry of Labor introduced mandatory breaks in workplaces in those parts of the country where temperatures are expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
The air on July 17-18 promises to be fresh, prepare for heat and high temperatures at the beginning of next week. It is necessary to closely monitor weather forecasts and take necessary measures to protect against heat.
