Weekend Weather Forecast
On the weekend of December 6-7, cold weather, gusty winds, and the possibility of ice are expected in Ukraine. Nighttime temperatures will fluctuate from +2 to -4 degrees, while daytime temperatures will range from +2 to +6 degrees. However, in Transcarpathia and southern Crimea, temperatures may reach +7 to +11 degrees.
Storm gusts in southern Ukraine are forecasted to reach 15-20 m/s. In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will be from -1 to -3 degrees, while daytime temperatures will be +1 to +4 degrees. Meteorologists note that an anticyclone will ensure dry weather, said forecaster Natalkа Didenko.
Changes in Climate Conditions
Climate conditions characteristic of southern Ukraine are gradually shifting north, reported Anastasia Chiharyova. She also noted that this season will be accompanied by frequent periods of unstable weather. The average winter temperature in Lviv is currently the same as it used to be in Crimea, and extreme frosts of -30...-35 degrees are becoming unlikely.
It is noted that the meteorological winter in Ukraine starts closer to January, and winter 2025-2026 will be 1-2 degrees warmer than the climatic norm.
