Ukrenergo warns about power outages: which regions are at risk

Попередження від Укренерго: можливі відключення електроенергії в деяких областях.

The situation in Ukraine's energy sector

The Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo, Vitaliy Zaychenko, reported possible power outages in Ukraine due to Russia's aggression. He emphasized the difficult situation in Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions. According to Zaychenko, the goal of the Russian aggressor is to completely de-energize Ukraine's energy system.

Energy workers are working around the clock to eliminate infrastructure damage. Zaychenko noted that without electricity, all the usual benefits of civilization disappear, highlighting the importance of stable electricity supply for the population. In addition, European partners provided Ukraine with equipment to restore the system, which can help improve the situation.

Prospects for the recovery of the energy system

Vitaliy Zaychenko also pointed out that voltage fluctuations may last several years; however, if there are no more strikes on the energy system, energy workers can cope with their task quite quickly. These efforts are crucial for ensuring stable electricity supply under the current circumstances.

The situation in Ukraine's energy sector remains critical, underscoring the importance of international support and the efforts of energy workers. In the face of constant threats from aggression, the restoration of energy infrastructure and the provision of stable electricity supply become a priority for the state. Support from European partners also plays a key role in this process, as technological and material assistance can significantly accelerate the recovery of the energy system.
