Ситуація з електропостачанням: які області постраждали найбільше від відключень електроенергії.

Critical situation with electricity in Ukraine

The head of 'Ukrenergo' Vitaliy Zaichenko reported on the difficult situation with electricity in Ukraine, which is particularly felt in border and frontline regions, as well as in the Odesa region. The country's authorities have been forced to implement hourly power outages due to shelling of energy infrastructure, significantly complicating the provision of electricity supply.

On November 20, 2023, Russian troops struck energy facilities in four Ukrainian regions, leading to serious consequences for the energy system. In Kyiv, electricity supply will be interrupted up to four times during the day. From 00:00 to 23:59, between 2.5 to 4 groups of consumers will be disconnected, causing significant inconvenience for both the population and businesses.

Energy consumption restrictions

Energy consumption restrictions also apply to industrial enterprises. All day, from 00:00 to 23:59, limits on energy consumption for industry are in effect, complicating the operations of many companies. Zaichenko noted that the most challenging situation with electricity is observed in:

  • Chernivtsi region
  • Sumy region
  • Kharkiv region
  • Dnipropetrovsk region
  • Zaporizhia region
Vitaliy Zaichenko: 'The greatest workload is currently placed on distribution system operators who must ensure power supply to consumers under these challenging conditions.'

The situation with electricity supply in Ukraine remains critical, as shelling of energy infrastructure continues to cause significant interruptions in electricity supply. Hourly outages have become a new reality for Ukrainians, complicating everyday life and business operations. In the context of an ongoing conflict, ensuring stable electricity supply remains a priority task for the government and energy companies.
