Ukrenergo introduces electricity blackout schedules across Ukraine on January 10th

Уже з 10 січня в Україні запроваджуються графіки відключення електроенергії.

Introduction of electricity blackout schedules

Ukrenergo introduces electricity blackout schedules across Ukraine on January 10th due to the consequences of attacks on energy facilities. The restrictions will affect all regions of the country. A hourly blackout schedule will be applied for household consumers, while power limitation schedules will be used for industrial users.

Damages to the transmission and generation system facilities resulting from the attacks have been observed in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. As a result of these events, over 500 thousand consumers have been left without power in the capital and surrounding areas. In particular, the city of Slavutych has been completely left without electricity.

“The main blow of the enemy struck Kyiv and the Kyiv region,” noted Mykola Kolisnyk.

Ukrenergo emphasizes that the situation in the energy system may change, indicating possible further adjustments to the blackout schedules.

Impact on the population and businesses

The introduction of electricity blackout schedules in Ukraine due to attacks on energy facilities indicates serious challenges faced by the country's energy system. The current situation may lead to increased tension among the population and businesses, as the limitations on electricity supply will affect daily life and economic activities. It is important for consumers to be informed about possible changes in schedules, which will help reduce inconveniences and prepare for possible outages.
