Ukrfinzhytlo received UAH 30 billion: what the funds for the 'yeOselya' program will be used for

Залучені 30 мільярдів гривень підуть на реалізацію програми єОселя, спрямовану на покращення житлових умов українців.

Recapitalization of 'Ukrfinzhytlo' and the 'yeOselya' program

The state company 'Ukrfinzhytlo' was recapitalized with UAH 30 billion to finance the 'yeOselya' preferential mortgage program. This initiative will support lending volumes and finance tens of thousands of mortgage loans in the coming years, as noted by Oleksiy Sobolev.

To implement the recapitalization, the Ministry of Finance issued domestic government bonds (OVDP). In particular, the following bonds were issued:

  • for UAH 7 billion with a term of 4 years and an interest rate of 14.1% per annum;
  • for UAH 10 billion with a term of 5 years and an interest rate of 12.9% per annum;
  • for UAH 13 billion with a term of 7 years at an interest rate of 11.0% per annum.

The importance of the 'yeOselya' program

The 'yeOselya' program has become an important tool for supporting Ukrainian families. To date, more than 22 thousand families have received loans totaling UAH 38 billion. Interestingly, the 'yeOselya' program accounts for 95% of the new mortgage market in Ukraine. It is also important to note that those mobilized during the martial law have the right to a preferential interest rate of 3% per annum, making this program even more accessible to a wider range of citizens.

This recapitalization and the 'yeOselya' program highlight the efforts of the Ukrainian government to support living conditions for citizens, especially in the context of economic challenges caused by the war. Given that mortgage is an important component for providing housing, the initiative can significantly impact the stabilization of the real estate market in Ukraine and improve the socio-economic situation of the population.
