Ukrainians are facing a hot July, with temperatures potentially rising to +38 degrees in the south of the country. Natalia Ptukha from the Ukrhydrometcenter noted that the hottest days are expected on July 7-8.
During the first decade of July, unstable weather is anticipated due to the influence of atmospheric fronts and areas of high pressure. Soon, residents of Ukraine will feel a rise in temperature after a cool June.
'There may be intense heat in places, +35...+38 degrees. In some areas, it may persist further, around the 9-10th, but this particularly concerns the southern regions,' Ptukha noted.
July may be humid but with insufficient precipitation, especially in the southern and southeastern regions. Even with brief rains and thunderstorms, the precipitation deficit may reach 64-79% of the usual norm.
Forecast temperatures and weather conditions
Meteorologists predict that the highest daytime temperature will be around +23...+28 degrees. Only in the south of the country is intense heat expected with +28...+33 degrees. The hottest days are anticipated on July 7-8.
Natalia Ptukha emphasized that July and August are always the warmest months in Ukraine, although no record-breaking temperatures are currently forecasted, unlike last summer.
Official temperature data is measured at meteorological stations, so household thermometers may differ. In the near future, no sharp cooling is expected, and temperatures will remain at +23-29 degrees even during the passage of atmospheric fronts.
The meteorologist also warns about brief rains, thunderstorms, strong winds, and even the possibility of hail, especially in the western, northern, and central regions.
