Ukraine's Postal Service to Adjust Parcel Rates Starting April 2026

З 2026 року Укрпошта оновить тарифи на доставку посилок.

Ukrposhta Announces New Pricing Structure Effective April 1, 2026

Ukraine's national postal service, Ukrposhta, will implement revised rates for parcel delivery beginning April 1, 2026. The smallest shipments will see an increase of approximately 5 hryvnias, while some priority service prices will remain unchanged. The company will maintain its base rate and continue to offer an online discount, allowing customers to save 5 hryvnias per shipment when processing their orders digitally. This adjustment comes as the postal operator navigates significant operational challenges in a difficult economic climate.

Reasons Behind the Rate Revision

Soaring operational costs, including monthly fuel expenses reaching 40 million hryvnias, have driven the need for the tariff update. This marks the first rate revision since 2024. Alongside these changes, Ukrposhta is introducing a unified online contract for business clients to streamline service agreements.

"We held off on raising prices for a long time, but our costs have risen dramatically—for fuel, generators, and restoring branches and vehicles damaged by shelling. Fuel costs alone are now 40 million hryvnias per month! This forced us to adjust some tariffs." - Ukrposhta Press Service

In a separate financial matter, Ukrposhta has reported transferring 17.4 million hryvnias to the state budget to cover a fine imposed by the National Bank of Ukraine for violations in financial monitoring. The company officially disputes the regulator's decision and is preparing a lawsuit. Despite the tariff changes, Ukrposhta emphasized that "we are maintaining one of the most affordable price levels on the market—depending on parcel size, priority, and destination, delivery will still be up to 30% cheaper than with other carriers."

The tariff revision is a direct response to the company's rising expenses, fueled by higher fuel prices and other operational costs. The launch of a single contract for business clients also signals an effort to improve service and attract new customers. In a context of economic instability and logistics market competition, Ukrposhta's strategy aims to preserve service accessibility for a broad consumer base while confronting substantial financial pressures.

As Ukrposhta navigates these new pricing adjustments, it's important to consider how the company's recent decisions impact its relationships with business partners. A recent report highlights that a business partnership proposal was left unanswered by Ukrposhta for five days, raising questions about their responsiveness during challenging times.
