Ukrzaliznytsia announced the purchase of new generation cars

Ukrzaliznytsia announced the purchase of the first pilot batch of five new generation passenger cars. This is a step towards renewing the outdated rolling stock and improving comfort for passengers. The new cars will use stainless steel, ensuring a service life of up to 50 years. In addition, they will offer improved conditions for passengers, such as air conditioning, more space, and modern amenities.

The new cars will have everything necessary for a comfortable journey: air conditioning, sockets with USB and Type-C ports, air suspension for a smooth ride, extended sleeping spaces, and even a car for passengers with disabilities equipped with an electric lift. Ukrzaliznytsia plans to acquire an additional 95 cars by 2025, including these five new cars. After the introduction of the new cars, the cost of servicing a passenger seat will remain stable.
