Enhancement of Document Checking on Trains

Railway workers are starting to pay more attention to checking passengers' documents before boarding the train. This decision was made due to complaints about poor document verification by train crews, particularly regarding the matching of names on tickets and passports.

“Recently, we have received many complaints about poor document checks by train crews – in particular, regarding the matching of names on the passenger's ticket and passport. Therefore, Ukrzaliznytsia is increasing attention to document checks before boarding,” the statement says.

At the stations, military security groups will operate, and train crews have already received additional instructions on careful verification of data.

Relaxations in Animal Transportation

Ukrzaliznytsia has changed the rules for transporting animals in passenger train cars. Now large dogs (over 45 cm at the shoulder) can travel across Ukraine in all types of cars. Service dogs of Armed Forces representatives can also travel for free in all types of cars, but must be muzzled and on a leash.

“We want to give every honest Ukrainian passenger the opportunity to easily purchase a ticket in the desired direction. Ukrzaliznytsia continues to allocate tickets for military personnel, provide priority for children from frontline regions, and transport the wounded, internally displaced persons, and international diplomacy,” the company notes.

The passenger company Ukrzaliznytsia is strengthening document checks for passengers before boarding the train and updating the rules for transporting animals in carriages to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
