Additional High-Speed Intercity Service Introduced
Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the launch of an extra high-speed Intercity train, numbered 755/756, operating between Kyiv and Lutsk. This service will run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during two weekends: September 18–20 and September 25–27. Along the route, the train will make stops at Fastiv, Berdychiv, Shepetivka, Zdolbuniv, and Rivne stations.
The train departs Kyiv at 7:26 AM, arriving in Lutsk at 1:00 PM. The return journey leaves Lutsk at 4:17 PM and reaches Kyiv by 9:41 PM. According to Ukrzaliznytsia's press office, these stops ensure convenient connections for passengers traveling between the capital and Western Ukraine.
Ticket Prices and Travel Dates
Ticket costs will vary based on purchase date, carriage occupancy, and travel period. For first-class and SV class cars, pricing will include a dynamic coefficient dependent on how far in advance tickets are bought. The base coefficient of 1 applies when buying tickets 20 days before departure; prices increase for later purchases.
- Train operating dates: September 18–20 and 25–27.
- Days of operation: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
The addition of this Intercity train highlights rising demand for travel between Kyiv and Lutsk, particularly on weekends. This surge likely reflects increased tourism and greater interest from Kyiv residents in exploring Ukraine’s western regions. Ukrzaliznytsia is responding to these trends by expanding its services to offer passengers more convenient and comfortable travel options.
