Ukrzaliznytsia has presented a new timetable for 2025–2026, which will come into effect on December 14. The new schedule includes 8 new international connections and 3 domestic routes. This year, the company transported over 25 million passengers, which is half a million more than last year. On peak days, Ukrzaliznytsia provided over 7,000 additional seats per day, forming the basis for further planning for 2026.
Increase in capacity and new routes
The new timetable includes a 20% increase in seat availability during peak periods. A total of 2 million additional seats are planned to be offered annually. Among the new routes:
- train No. 47/48 (Kramatorsk) Barvinkove – Chop
- new train No. 33/34 Kryvyi Rih – Ivano-Frankivsk
- updated route of train No. 113/114 Kharkiv – Uzhhorod
The management of Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes ambitious goals regarding passenger traffic for the next year.
“This year we set ourselves even more ambitious goals regarding passenger traffic,” said Oleksandr Pertzovskyi. The new timetable anticipates over 40 routes to mountain rehabilitation centers, aimed at ensuring comfortable travel for Ukrainians.
This new timetable indicates the growing demand for transportation in Ukraine, as well as on the international level. The increase in the number of routes and seat availability can significantly ease travel for passengers, especially during peak periods. Such initiatives can contribute to enhancing the tourist attractiveness of Ukraine, particularly in the context of mountain rehabilitation centers, which also reflects Ukrzaliznytsia's efforts to improve service for its customers.
