Ukrzaliznytsia has updated the rules for transporting animals on trains so that Ukrainians can travel with their furry friends without unnecessary problems. Now large dogs can travel in all cars, including even high-speed trains and luxury class cars, but only on the condition that they occupy all the seats in the compartment.
In addition, military service dogs can travel for free in any car, but they must be on a leash and wear a muzzle. Small animals are allowed to travel in the compartment without a carrier; it is enough to have only a special backpack or bag for transport.
Moreover, passengers must have veterinary documents for the animal, a ticket for it, a leash, and a muzzle. If any problems arise due to the presence of the animal, one can contact the train crew to change places.
These changes in the rules were approved within Ukrzaliznytsia and will allow passengers to travel comfortably and safely with their pets.
