Temporary Adjustments to Regional Train Services
Due to severe weather conditions, Ukrzaliznytsia has implemented temporary schedule changes for regional trains in Vinnytsia and Odesa oblasts on January 28 and 29. Passengers are urged to pay close attention to these announced adjustments, which will affect several routes. These service modifications are a common operational response by Ukrainian Railways to ensure passenger safety during winter weather disruptions.
Specific Train Schedule Alterations
- On January 28, train No. 6323 (Zhmerynka – Rakhy) and train No. 6326 (Rakhy – Zhmerynka) will not operate. As an alternative, passengers can use train No. 6325 (Zhmerynka – Vapniarka).
- On January 29, the route for train No. 6253 (Podilsk – Odesa-Holovna) will be canceled. Instead, train No. 6251 (Vapniarka – Odesa-Holovna) will be available.
In a related notice, Ukrzaliznytsia has officially clarified its policy on the use of sleeping berths: a passenger is entitled to use only the specific berth assigned on their ticket for the entire duration of the journey.
“We ask passengers to be mindful of the schedule changes,” stated Ukrzaliznytsia.
The adverse weather is the primary reason for these schedule modifications, as it can impact both safety and passenger comfort. Ukrzaliznytsia is working to provide alternative transportation options to meet traveler needs during this period. Passengers are strongly advised to monitor for the latest updates and adhere to all safety guidelines while traveling.
