Yulia Yurina Joins the Frontline Studio Project

Folklorist and singer Yulia Yurina participated in the Frontline Studio project, an initiative of the Cultural Forces platform, by visiting the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named the Knights of the Winter Campaign. During her visit on November 28, she spent time with the soldiers, took part in a training exercise, and recorded a song titled 'Gods of War' for the brigade.

The Frontline Studio is a military music project aimed at supporting soldiers and developing warrior culture. Yurina joined the project by participating in a 'zero day' training exercise with new recruits, which simulates the stressful conditions of real combat. During this training, she tested her skills by firing an assault rifle and an RPG, and also spoke with tank crews and infantry instructors, interviewing military personnel.

Recording the 'Gods of War' Track

The recording of 'Gods of War' for the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade marks a significant phase of the Frontline Studio project, which plans to create 16 songs and 16 episodes. The project's first season launched on November 11 and has also featured musician Sasha Chemerov and rapper Gonya, who visited the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Konstanty Ostrogski.

This trip completely changed my perception of war. I spoke with commanders of various units, soldiers of different specialties, and was inspired by the mottos and ideas these warriors carry. This song will be about not setting foot on Ukrainian land, and about our fighters overcoming the invaders because they are the gods of war.

The Cultural Forces platform unites volunteers, cultural figures, and military personnel from creative professions, working to support the armed forces and the families of the fallen.

Yulia Yurina's involvement underscores the vital role of cultural support for troops during wartime. Such projects not only boost soldier morale but also create new cultural works that can become symbols of resistance and national dignity. This initiative highlights the powerful unity between Ukraine's artistic and military communities in defending their homeland.
