Attack in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv
On January 15, during a morning enemy attack in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, debris from a drone struck a residential building. A fragment hit a 15-story residential building, causing damage to a wall covering an area of about 4 square meters. According to preliminary information, the incident did not result in casualties or injuries.
At the time of the attack, an air raid alert was ongoing in the capital, lasting for 20 minutes. Kyiv is currently experiencing the most challenging situation regarding energy and communal services in four years of full-scale war. This is related to the aftermath of a massive attack that occurred on January 9. Since then, the capital has been living under emergency power outages.
Consequences of the attack
This attack highlights the continued threats to civilian facilities in Ukraine, which is part of a broader strategy by the aggressor. Although casualties and injuries have been avoided, the destruction of residential infrastructure continues to raise concerns among the residents of the capital.
The critical energy situation in Kyiv further complicates the lives of citizens facing the consequences of regular attacks and emergency power outages.
